Awake!

Awake, thou wintry earth -
Fling off thy sadness!
Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth
Your ancient gladness!
~Thomas Blackburn

awake.. I have been considering naming my project awake.  After a long talk with Tessa last Thursday i began really thinking about the word and the real reason for my senior project. I asked a few people what first comes to mind when they hear the word AWAKE and of course awaking from sleep is the primary answer. Which is exactly what i was looking for because spring is exactly that, it is the inevitable end of winter where all those animals and plants who have hibernating through the long dreary winter have finally been given a glimpse of hope that soon life will be bright again and the land will return to its bountiful abundance of life!
